Catching public transport in a new city can always be a daunting task, but a fun one! If you’re up for the challenge and want to make nature happy by using public transport, we recommend using Google Maps and visit

the Adelaide Metro website (http://www. adelaidemetro.com.au) to plan your trip and look up information relating to tickets and MetroCard prices.


If you need a quick ride home, we recommend using Uber (which is very affordable with Uber Split Fare feature). Ensure you download this handy app.

Alternatively you can call a cab by calling Adelaide Independent Taxis. (Phone: 13 22 11)


We recommend against driving to ACC! The academic venue is located in the CBD making it very hard (and expensive) to secure parking. If you do drive there are a few options for parking (most of them paying-options) and can be Googled online.


We encourage the use of public transport, walking, cycling, roller blading or heck, whip out the JD bug and scooter to the ACC! Parking is limited and expensive and let’s face it, driving isn’t all that good for the environment! Chuck on your step counter and get your steps up! Go catch some Pokémon on the walk! Cut down your Carbon footprint! Walking is a win-win!

Due to some recent grumblings between Adelaide taxis and Uber, the Adelaide Airport may have restricted access to Ubers when heading from the airport to the CBD. Please click the above link to explore other options of getting into the CBD. Consider sharing taxis with your fellow Space Cadets or take the bus!

Merchandise pick-up (lanyards, delegate bags, t-shirts and keep-cups) will occur from Friday 18th August onwards.

Note for Accommodated Delegates – Accom sites will have luggage storage. Check-in opens at 2pm but we encourage everyone to drop off luggage in morning, go to Registration ASAP and then attend Opening Ceremony. Check-in can be organised after OC.
